Maharashtra Engineers & Founders was established in 1965 by Shri Vincent D' Silva, as a support unit to the Chemical & Food Industries in & around Central Bombay. With consistent exposure to the nearby soap plants of the Tatas & Hindustan Lever, maintenance of machineries in the plants became a regular business which in a few years time grew into a manufacturing unit for these machines. As most of these machines and equipments were imported from European countries the need for indigenisation was felt & Mr. D'Silva used his foresight & experience to develop these machines & began manufacturing them. Being restricted by the limitation of space, only the finishing lines were developed with specialisation in the stamping & cutting of soaps. These machines became very popular in India & are presently installed in almost every unit-small, medium & large. They have been proved for their efficiency, reliability, quality & performance over the years & have been well accepted by all. The "Maharashtra" stampers have become a brand name in stamping of soaps in India and recently developing countries like Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Madagascar, New Zealand etc. have been importing these stampers from Maharashtra Engineers & Founders.
